By default window xp don’t have thumbnail preview utility, when you open any program in Window xp ,its task bar don’t display any thumbnail preview of any open task.  But you can do easily with Visual task tips.
Visual Task Tips is a nice small utility for windows operating system. You can change xp windows taskbar look as windows vista taskbar.

Quick use
1.Download visual task tips and install it.
2.After installation, you can found it in, Notification area (Right corner of taskbar )
3.Right click visual task tips icon and go to customize…
4.configure settings change thumbnail size , popup delay and refresh rate.

5.apply , ok and close visual task tips
6.And check your taskbar
