<p>For changing look first you need skin file, you can download here</p>

<p>Now press Alt +F2 type gnome-terminal and enter or you can also do same  with click application go to Accessories and then click Terminal and type this command and enter.</p>
<p><strong>gksudo nautilus /usr/share/vlc/skins2</strong></p>
<p>Enter your root password if it is asked to you.</p>
<p>Now copy and paste your skin file here (/usr/share/vlc/skins2<strong>) </strong>from your download location</p>
<p>Now open vlc player press Ctrl + P or go to Tools and click on Preferences…</p>
<p>Click Skins radio button then click browse and choose your vlc skin file (/usr/share/vlc/skins2)<br />

<p>You can also find some more things like some skin don&#8217;t support drag &amp; drop function.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t need to reinstall again you can do this with some simple steps.</p>
<p>Click on Places and go to home folder in panel.</p>
<p>Click on view in menu bar and click on show hidden files or you can do same thing with (Ctrl + H)</p>
<p>Now open .config folder</p>
<p>Delete vlc folder</p>
<p>Restart / start VLC player in application menu and set up your settings from beginning.</p>
