After format (tried both FAT32&NTFS) with device management it shows 7.81GB RAW Healthy(Primary Partion) and asking to format again, after 100% format it says windows unable to complete format. What is this? Is this pen drive is useless or can be repaired or How can I format it in otherways? In its properties shows only 0 bytes.

Format the pen drive using DOS.

format E: /FS:FAT32 (where E: is my pen drive name and FAT32 is the file system I want on the disk)

    Cheers!

  44. dj says:

    thanks a lot,
    this helped very much.

had to copy a 5+ gigabyte file, and offcoarse it didnt fit on my fat32 drive.. (only supports files smaller than 4 gig)

now when you try to format the 16 gig memory stick, only fat32 showed up as an option.

so the trick was to turn off this feature optimise for quick removal..
then ntfs showed up under format options

    thanks a milion again, dj
