This seems difficult because of honesty of Google talk . It shows idle only in one condition when we don’t use the computer for at least 10 minutes. Yellow ball showing “idle status” followed by name turns into green color whenever we move the mouse and press any key. We can overcome form this issue by downloading a free utility called “galwayssidle” and manually set our Google talk status as “idle” even when we are sitting in front of computer typing emails. Being idle we can avoid unwanted friends and can always make excuse to our friends like we are not there or may be some more reasons.
Quick use
1.Click here to download GalwaysIdle
2.Right click on the Google talk icon ( in notification area ) and select “Always idle ” from menu to activate this feature

3.We can deactivate it by selecting ‘Normal Idle’ or ‘Never Idle’. We can remove it permanently by selecting “GalwaysIdle” from our Add/Remove Programs control panel and click Remove.
